Convincing someone to buy a focus :D

how can i convince(spelling) my aunt a 20 yr old to buy a 2005 focus zx3. i own a 2003 zx3 and she thinks its pretty nice. we were looking at one for sale around here that was at a dealership for $9,888 with 30,573 miles. she has a truck that she is willing to sell and this guy might give her 5k for it but first she wants to find a car to buy before she sells her truck, so what i need from you guys are good reasons for her to buy this zx3 focus. here is a link to the focus we saw.

i think thats over priced for that many miles i got mine brand new for 10,000 and she is gonna get that one for the same price but with 30k on it. im sure that the insurance and the payment will be lower and the gas bill so thats something u can tell her. plus u can show here the LONG list of parts she can get for it

Personally there are many reasons why I would buy a brand new Focus, but almost ten g's for used Focus with 30k doesn't sound like a great deal to me. I'm sure for a few extra bucks and a couple of rebates she could get a new Foci in no time.

Buying a used focus is something I wouldn't recommend. Unfortunately, I am of the opinion that with any American cars - buying one used isn't worth the risk. Buy a new focus - it'll be a better deal - especially if you're financing - longer warranty term (the 5/100 powertrain, as well as the 3/36 bumper to bumper), lower interest rates on new vs used, and lemon law protections should things go bad.

After going through a bad experience with my 02, I can't recommend buying a focus or any american car used unless you know that car's history from the date of purchase (because you know the original ownder).

honestly, unless she really really wants a focus and wants something that is 13k or less, i would steer her to something else. I think there are alittle better compacts out there that she could get for like 15k. But if not go with a focus show her that its fun to drive and such and still gets good gas milage. BUt yea almost 10k, surely at least 10.5k after taxes for an 05 with 30k on it, dont forget brand new base 05s were going for like 10k when they came out, keep looking around, if you dont find anything see if you can talk them down.
