The real improvement is the broader power band it provides. The long runners, actuated at a lower rpm, provides more torque. The short runners when activated boost high-rpm breathing and power. There is lots of information on the internet about resonant tuning runner length for specific rpm levels; however I left that to the Ford engineers. I can't pull real dyno numbers because I never put it on the rollers but I can say that the SVT kicks the ported Y2K to the curb. I have run both intakes and the SVT really pulls hard in the top end of the rpm range without any sacrifice to low-rpm performance. And having the ability to fine tune the rpm switchover point is a big plus as the factory SVT switchover point was around 6000 (which I believe was lowered with the factory re-flash they provided). Now I am somewhat biased because I am selling this setup but if anyone else has run the SVT intake on a regular Zetec maybe they can chime in. And, don't forget but this mod as most mods are part of a more complete package of modifications-I had the long tube header, a cat back exhaust, cams as well as the intake. Keep this in mind when considering how much of an increase one mod can provide. Hope this helps-Ian.

Had it on my 2002 Zetec stock head. Direct bolt on.
Will consider interesting and/or part trades as well!
