Yep. Look at this illustration:

Of course, if this is wrong then ignore it!

That image is awesome, haha, I love the hypothetical disclaimer.

And speaking of breaking shifing components, I broke the black plastic that keeps the whole assebly in place. The one that blots dirrectly to the car. Know what I'm talking about?

This was regualr shifting with the regular shifter. (Ok, ok, hard shifting). Cost like $160 for Ford to put in a new one ($35 part). I need to stop going to the Dealer for service.

SVT's only, but to help explain the workings of a short shifter.

Here is a shot of the Race shifter, Steeda STS and the factory stocker. Looking at the lower linkage point you can see that the Steeda(FRPP) is longer which gives more travel below the pivot point. So it takes less movement to switch grears.

The race shifter is shorter above but requires more presssure to shift as there is less leverage. I also notice that it is less tappered on the botton of the ball which is why it was harder to get into Reverse due to the lockout. I got rid of the race shifter and went back to the steeda.

my 2 cents.

150 is steep for the frpp...that's the steeda price. I got my frpp from CFM for around 110. The frpp is around 100-110 the steeda is around 150-160ish

FRPP is $149.95 and Steeda is $179.95

Anywhere cheaper?
