When I'm cruising the EGT is around 1190. Hitting it hard, I would see 1350.

There's no more smoke as well, just a slight smell, when I open the hood for cooling

www.swaintech.com and do it the correct way. Ceramic coatings and coat the heat shield for even more under hood heat decrease.

Yes. But the better option would be the heat reflective tape or wrap. It reflects the heat way. Also a simple DIY. Same companies make all kinds of this stuff.

ryker....ceramic coating doesnt compare to the performance of heat wrap. that has been discussed in this thread already. and also, that company is crap compared to jet-hot.com

thats kewl. but you know that you could have had your header coated for about 150. how much was it new? id much rather trust jet-hot before i would FR for the coating aspects. plus you can get different colors.
different strokes. you seen mine in bad shape. ill be getting that taken care of with black wrap when i get the chance.

yeah but i didn't wanna wait so long before getting it back. i heard it takes 2 weeks! i wanna get my car back on the road this weekend and i'm going to tom's on tuesday. i ordered a bunch of parts through mike, cfm, and other places that i'm getting put on all at once by this weekend and i figured with the header off, i should do something to it, so i just decided to replace it.

the header was just over $300 and i'll be selling the stocker as well
