MKII Audio Upgrade

Hey all, I bought a 2007 MKII Focus Zetec at Christmas time and I had a few questions about upgrading the audio system in it. Firstly, I was pleasantly surprised with the factory stereo in the car, it had good bass for a stock system and generally does the job well, it also has an iPod aux input so it’s far from crappy. It’s not exactly exciting though, and I would like to upgrade but I had a few questions.

Firstly, I’ve read that the MK1 Focus that the US gets has roughly a 1.8 DIN space where the factory head unit sits? I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the MKII spot, it looks big, but I don’t know, is there a measurement I can use as a reference for ‘double’ DIN?

Also, provided I can fit a double DIN unit in, I’m looking at the Alpine IVA W200E screen, it looks brilliant but does anyone know anything about this unit or have any better suggestions? Speakers I’ve decided on MB Quarts and some form of 10” sub, maybe Alpine but I’m undecided yet.
