Rear SVT brake pad going bad

well yesterday i started hearing a grinding noise right before i come to a stop on my passenger side rear wheel. no squeals or other wierd noises. just all of a sudden started to get what sounds like metal on metal, i also hear the scraping when moving slow enough. strange because at the same time, my CEL came on yesterday as well. but that had something to do with the cat. now i have to change my pads i was wanting to upgrade to the green stuff but don't really have the money right now. does autozone or another place stock the svt rear pads? also i think i'll need to get the tool that pushes the piston back into the caliper, they have that as well correct? as you can tell i am a noob with the svt but i have changed brakes before on other cars. i did not see any write ups for the svt so maybe i might do one. i need to get this fixed today. i hate sundays

Autozone should have the tool. Open the local bleeder and push in REALLY hard while turning clockwise to move the piston back in.

Not sure on the pads but they are the same as zx3 advance track. I would just put oem or motorcraft back in.

well anyways i got it done. just replaced both rear pads and boy that was a pain in the ass. the pistons was the easy part for me... go figure and i didn't even have the right tools. now my e-brake doesn't work. i hooked both cables back up to the brakes and put the springs back in as well. i really hate sundays.

just got the rears today from autozone, probably not the best for performance but it's just my DD right now. will finish the job with the fronts next week.

me being a dumb ass yet again, i forgot to hook up one of the ebrake cables back up to the driver side back brake gonna get the front pads later this week and will get them installed. i can feel my car brake very well now

still can't figure out how the inside pad on my pass. side back brake wore completely down while i still had about 1/4" left on the 3 other pads
only thing i can think of is the one of the two "pistons" that is supposed to move in and out is frozen while the other lower one moves fine?

Could have been a bad Pad from factory, Keep an eye on the pad, see if it starts to happen again.

i got some from autozone which they have a lifetime warrenty...
i'm more concerned with that other "piston"(don't know what it's called) it was frozen and doesn't slide in and out like the other 3
