Sway Bar

Has anyone replaced the rear sway bar, and kept the front stock on an svt focus? If so what were your results, and what sway bar did you use? I'd love to hear from someone who used the steeda 28.6 mm competition bar.

the progress 22mm rear sway bar will work great on the stock front bar. i had one for a year & I autoX as much as possible.(a great piece)
The steeda rsb is tooo big for the stock front bar if you push your car at all or autocross, your ass-end will be all over the place! .
I just installed the steeda rear bar & love it , but plan on replacing my front sway bar with an H&R 24mm front bar b4 hitting the track.lol

H&R rear would probably be your best bet unless you want to just get your self the nice eibach set.

In that case, I'd recommend the Progress 22mm bar.
Yes, 1mm can make a big difference.
I noticed it right away on my car.
Any larger than the 22mm on the street, (without getting a larger bar up front) will tend to make the back end a bit too tail happy.

I'd also suggest reading this thread, about LCA (Lower Control Arm) failures with large rear bars:

^^^About 1/2 way into it.
