Engine Stalling on 03 SVTF

As the title says my car is an 03 SVT,w/ 38000 miles and it will occasionally stall after shifting it into neutral while driving. The battery lamp also flickers every now and then when I shift it into neutral, so I suppose I might have some kind of computer/electrical issue. Do I have to take it to dealer to have the ECU fixed/updated as I understand from what I've searched, or is there another way to fix it myself?

thanks for the help.

to FocusFanatics!!

Sounds like you have a classic case of an SVT in bad need of the YRF0 (zero, not Oh) reflash from the Dealer:

However, I'd highly recommend forgoeing the factory reflash, and invest in a tuning unit for the car.
Search these forums for SCT or Diablo or Predator.
And, clicky here:

Even with 93 gas,and an SCT tune,my car stalls at a stop sign occasionally. No warning or anything, just stops.Starts right up and runs fine, but once, twice in 300 miles it may do the stall thing.I think it thinks it's a hybrid...

Its probaly something to do with the IACV, they are what causes both the old hanging rev issue and they can also cause the rpm "dip" issue.
