How many horns should I have on a 02 ZX3?

How many horns should I have on a 02 ZX3? Just picked up an 02 that needs a few things including horn(s). Is there one horn only, or two - high and low note? The horn connector appears to have been cut off and there are two wires dangling. Haynes manual doesn't show the horn circuit. Anyone have a diagram for the circuit or know what color wires go where? Thanks. THIS IS AN AWESOME SITE!!!!!!! Brian

it should just be a single horn

as far as what wires are what, my best suggestion is to go to a junkyard, and pull a horn off another focus, and hope the wires match up... if not, you can always test which ones are positive and negative with a multi-meter

the horn should have two pins, and I believe the wires can be reversed.

Do what I did, go to schucks and buy an airhorn kit. I havent had any truckers try to change lanes into me anymore since I put those on. lol

Captain, when you double click the lock button on your fob does the airhorn go off like the regular horn. I like the lock confirming horn sound and heard the air horn may not go off in this situation.

^^ I ahve an aftermarket alarm. I told the installers not to put the horn on as part of the alarm because I dont want to be evicted from the neigborhood when it goes off in the middle of the night cause I lost the fob and have to open the door with the key lol.
I have talked to other people though with factory alarm and airhorns, and they say that the air pump doesnt have enough time to work up the air to beep the horns. So they put the factory horn on AS WELL as the air horn. The only reason they put it on is the alarm confirmation beep. You wont hear the factory horn when you use it in traffic cause the air horn is about 140 Db.
