spark plug gap

ok so im getting copper core plugs but what gap should i put them. i think the auotlites come stock at .051 should i leave it there? or gap it more to get more out of them? also should i get autolies or NGK copper cores?

I would leave the gap alone. Just because you are changing plug types you don't have to change the gap. There is usually a tolerance of +/- .02 or something like that. So, if you have a gapping tool, and gap them at .050 that should put you in the ball park. The Autolite's are good plugs, so are the NGK's though. You won't go wrong in either case!!

gap them to .065"

either ngk's or autolites are fine.. i like the autolites because they are half the price

dude i did that and i cleaned my air filter and my car has gotten quicker more smooth, quieted the motor down and seems like i have a little better top end from where i normally drops off at about 75 mph i soooo recomend the $12 on the plugs

i went to advanced auto and the NGKs for my 05 are only 1.80 each that seems pretty cheap to me. maybe i should stock up incase they made a mistake

the stock are just reg motorcraft platinum, they're not bad but some ppl want spark plug performance...
