the rear end looks like a cobalt minus the round taillights.

The front is...ehh...alright. It has hints of Tiburon in a couple different places.

The interior has the same accents as the new mustang..but it appears to be made of the same rattle-prone plastic.

The wheels kinda look like the wheels on the Audi S4. I actually think they look pretty nice but as usual its an incomplete package when they're resting in front of some piece of crap drum brakes and miniscule cheap looking front discs. Is it too much to ask that we have 4 wheel disc brakes at least semi-standard?

I'm saddened that the 2.3 is taking such a back seat to the 2.0. This should ensure that even the nicest most heavily optioned focus will probably struggle against a 5 speed Corolla-S.

The editorial in the first thread almost made me gag. They tried all too hard to use the Jeremy Clarkson uber-descriptive description of the styling...but all they did is make me realize that WE are not the crowd they are trying to please.

Sorry for being such a negative nancy...I've been at work since 11 last night and I need sleep.
this is bob. bob has bitch tits.

I think it looks good. I would certainly give it a look. Its certainly different than the current foci. Im just doubting that they can keep the price down with the extra features. I paid 10900 for my hatch out the door dont think Ill ever see that price again on a new car...

Ford has Failed Again

After the multi year wait we get this?? What another bland disaster. They will never get it right. I hope the designers for the 2010 all new ford focus are not the same designers for this dud. No wonder Toyota and Honda are destroying this company. The cars are just plain ugly and unappealing. They have one more chance in three years or they have forever lost the small car market and will ultimately go bankrupt.

Wow! Booooorrrrriiiingggg. What happens when you try to satisfy everyone? That - that's what happens. What a bland-mobile, it looks like a Chevy Malibu.

Finally, nothing can get me over the fact that they keep reskinning the same underpinnings we've had for 8 years now. Give us the Euro Focus! Why does the USA always get the short end of the stick - even from AMERICAN car manufacturers!?

Next car for me - Mazda3 (or speed three)

Wow, that interior is pure sex. Exterior... no 2.3... no HATCH... blah.

I can live with the coupe, that looks pretty good, and I'm sure it will grow on me with time... but for now, I'll take my 2.3 hatch.

I like the styling of the coupe and it's starting to grow on me. The coupe has got a nice stance in one of those angled front shots and I like the rake-ish line running underneath the beltline. Very Acura TSX-like.

I was reading on some of the other forums where people were saying that it looks like an '02 Mustang. Where in the hell does that come from? I've trying to imagine it but I just don't see it at all.

Despite the awesome interior, the exterior is going to create a big challenge in the aftermarket world. One thing leaves me leary about the coupe though. Will it get neglected as my '91 Escort LX did? That car was a seriously unbalanced nose heavy shitbox. The weight distribution was like 95/5 or something in that ballpark. LOL.

Before I get off my soap box, I'm going to give the coupe a chance with a thumbs up.When I get one, I'm going to be the first in the how-to-section on how to black out your foglight housings. lol
