the front aint bad, i actually like it looks just like the new edge front, the rear is very yucky!!!! and interior is very nice and classy like, i doubt ill buy one seeing how i got an 07 last hatch model

As more information and pictures become available..I'll make my ultimate decision. As of now, I like it better than the '05 + series. I hope they paid attention to detail..and we'll see how it does when we get our hands on it!

I like the way it looks, but the only bad things I'm seeing so far are:

-The center stack, where the radio is...no way to do an easy in-dash aftermarket upgrade.
-It appears, from the articles posted on focaljet, that the 2.3 is not going to be offered as of yet. I'm hoping that changes, but knowing the way Ford has been going so far, I am doubting we will see the 2.3 in the '08 Focus at all.

Alright, I'll take a 2009 Blue SVTF coupe with the duratec 2.0t -- 215 hp and 225 lb/ft torque...limited slip diff. and xenon headlights.

I'm on the fence as far as the interior is concerned...too angular for my liking, it reminds me of the interior of my dad's Chevy Equinox. Although it does have some nice features...like the center EL stereo display, lighted cup holders and submarine lighting in the footwells and (if you read the article) the sync option will be sweet; load MP3s onto a USB flash drive and plug it directly into the stereo.

Exterior...no way. The Focus has had it in the US, and if it wasn't rumored that we'll be getting the MkIII global platform Focus in 2010 I would think that the Focus is headed for the end of production in two years. This is exactly what they did with the Escort after 1997; they stripped it of anything that was unique and built it to appeal to a broad conservative customer base. This car has been designed to sell to rental and corporate fleets and to people looking for a ho-hum commuter.

Looks like the Bold Moves campaign has finally gotten to the Focus...once again, they're telling enthusiasts that if your idea of a performance car isn't a V-8 Mustang, look elsewhere. They're not even going to offer a 2.3L, or if they are, there's no mention of it in the article that was linked...so we can't even expect a half-assed "performance" model similar to the current ST. My next car will definitely not be a Focus unless they offer a true performance model with the MkIII; otherwise its a used STi or new Volvo C30 for me.
