Shop Manual for a 2005?

Anyone use a shop manual? I noticed Haynes only has a manual for the 2000 and 2001 model years. Did I miss a manual?

I know Ford sells shop manuals, but last I checked they were $100+. I would like a manual, but that's a little steep.

Matt

Uhh... not what I had in mind at all. Those ebay scam things bother me. This statement especially makes me concerned:

PLEASE NOTE MY 2006 AND 2005 YEAR DVD'S REQUIRE A MINOR DATE CHANGE TO USE THEM BUT VERY SIMPLE AND TAKES A SECOND AND WILL NOT HARM YOUR COMPUTER IN ANY WAY!
Wierd stuff.

I was looking for an old school haynes type paper manual. Thanks, tho.

Well, I was looking for general information for routine maitenance at this point. Torque settings for the oil drain plug and lug nuts. (I can guess, but I prefer to do the job right.)

I am also experiencing the tendency for the TB to stick at idle. Not bad yet, but it's mildly irritating. I don't know if the manual covers that, but I could look at the instructions and try and understand the problem. (I think this is a warranty item, but I really would prefer not to have to argue with the dealer.)

The plan is to keep this car for a while, and since I am a wrech type, that means wrenching on it. Hard to do without a manual.

Thanks for the help.

Matt

Those eBay ones work great. I have one I bought 2 years ago. Ford constantly updates those DVDs with very minor changes (mostly with TSB information which requires internet access anyways) and resends new ones to dealerships on a semi-monthly basis. Because of that, the DVD has a time limit so a dealer doesn't use an out-of-date one. Typically they get thrown away, but some people sell the old ones. Hence why you need to do a date change on the computer to make it work.

One thing to note is these DVDs are on a DVD+R disc, and not all DVD drives can read them. I had to get a new DVD drive so I could read that disc, but it was only like $25.

I could have not rebuilt my engine without it. Compared to this DVD, a Haynes manual is about as effective as a car repair manual written by Dr. Seuss.

(I had an older one for my old Zetec, and it was horrible. 25% of the time, the content applied to a European model, and the directions are vague at best. The one for my Buick is even worse)

Most Haynes Manuals I have used (and that's quite a few) appear to be written by Dr. Seuss. His name is in the list of credits...no, really, I swear...

Chilton's is a little better. Anyone know if they have one out yet for the 2005 Focus?
