Question crower stage 4

I want to buy a crower stage 4 camshaft, and don't know if it is ok for a street car?

Probably a little too much for a street application....honestly I'm not an expert but from what I have read, you should probably go with stage 1 or 2...IMO

Peace............

this is certainly not for a street car...just read the fine print, and its certainly not a direct drop in. you may want to check out ford racing for streetable cams, the stage 1's aren't bad, new stage 2's are old stage 3's...so after that, headwork comes into play, and even with 2's, you will need new buckets

Yup, those camshafts would require you to have a higher compression (head work) Just remember, not all camshafts are the same. For example, Ford racings stage one is not the same as crowers stage 1. They have different durations.

not saying anything about compression, talking in general alterations. compression wouldn't be a problem. vacuum at idle may be a problem though :)

Yea but I thought some camshafts required you to have a higher CR?!

why exactly do you want to buy this? stage III is radical in the crowers, everything over that is custom. Requires machining of the head for clearance, not to mention spring problems, piston to valve problems, cam timing issues. Unless you are around 200whp na you do not need these cams. Your car will not idle. power is from 5k-9k.

kids these days
