Cost/time/wiring to install perimter alarm?

Anybody in here know how much it (should) cost to install the perimeter alarm on a 2007 Focus that already has the keyless entry remote?
Haggling over a new ST that has everything I want but the perimeter alarm (wanted it primarily for the insurance discount), and called the dealer and was told $600 for installing a Homelink mirror and the alarm system! Iíve downloaded the Homelink mirror installation guide and itís a 1 hr. job, so that leaves 7 hrs for the perimeter alarm install (dealer said 8-hr install for both items). So far Iíve had no luck finding an installation guide online for the alarm so I can get an idea of how long it should take to install it.
Iím just wondering if the perimeter alarm is basically a plug in item or if there are wires that are going to have to be run (I canít imagine anything but hood/trunk)? Iíd think any other sensors required by the perimeter alarm are already in the car but just have to be tapped into (or plugged into).

Below is the info from the www.fordaccessorystore.com
Vehicle Security Kit Part #: 7L3Z-19A361-AA MSRP: $145.71
Protect your vehicle Ė and its contents Ė with a state-of-the-art security system. Two-step perimeter alarm gives a warning chirp for non-threatening impacts and a Real Panic Sound® if security is threatened. IT-s® (Interior Theft Sensor) uses infrared technology to protect the vehicleís contents. Factory-supplied transmitter remotely locks/unlocks doors and deactivates the alarm. Dome lights are activated for illuminated entry/exit. For vehicles equipped with factory keyless entry. Includes a Lifetime Limited Warranty on parts (contact dealer for complete details). Dealer installation recommended. NOTE: Vehicles equipped with a security system may be eligible for insurance discounts in some states/provinces.
Fits: Ford Focus 2007
