panic stop = ripped up tires
I just did a panic stop from 70 mph to 0 to avoid the tail end of a corolla. tires screeched, left marks on the pavement. Afterwards I hear bumping from my front end. I was praying it wasn't anything metal (whatever you call that stuff on the wheels that would be effected by a hard brake). I found that it's my Goodyear Tires that came with the car. It looks like mince meat on one section of both tires. Damn it! Anyone have an idea who or where I can get some replayments? Anyone keeping their stocks after they put new ones on?

i dont think they will be under warranty since its a wear issue.

I'm pretty sure there's a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty that covers all wear and tear items. I got my rotors resurfaced at 6,000 miles under warranty.

no clue... all i know is that if one panic stop does it to Goodyear... (are they known for that?) then I'm switching to something else. I'll have a look at the 12000 mile thing... I'm almost at that limit though...

tires are usually not covered under warranty.. think about it.. you could do a burnout every 3k miles and get new tires.. they won't go for that :(
