Hooking up ipod

Well I was wondering where I can get an adapter to hook up my soon to get 30gb ipod to my alpine head unit. I did a search and found the faq for the stock head unit but im sure this would be different. I was also thinkin about those charger/fm reciever dealies but I know the sound quality isnt the greatest. I did find out that the one made by DLO is supposed to be good for 100 bucks. Anyways if anyone knows what I can do please inform me!

remote screen and controller for the ipod, plus hardwired FM connection.

all for like $100, on sale at best buy.

The cable link is a good idea. That's what I did for my wife's Ipod. Went to RadioShack and bought a $5 cable and she's good to go.

Was that with the stock radio? I wonder If it is any different for an aftermarket head unit.

You can just plug in a 3.5 mm male to male connector from the speaker port of your iPod to the aux input right in front of your player. It won't charge, but the sound quality will be perfect. If you have a car charger, then that would work nicely also.

You can also try this... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...686756-0897628

I don't know if this will charge your iPod though, I have a feeling that it won't because it wasn't mentioned in the description.

If you're still looking, Amazon's Gold Box deal of the Day is a wireless FM transmitter. Works both iPod --> car/home radio or play FM radio via the iPod on the go.

According to its review, it has clear reception and good range (in the house I guess, cars are small!) and for less than $20, can you go wrong? I got one meself. Only downfall I see: doesn't charge the iPod, so that's something to consider.
