Rear wheel bearings in 2000 FOCUS

Another problem !!

Just as I got my fuel pump(recall) and plug cables changed I noticed rear wheel noise and ........... the bearing is shot.

In order to get it fixed I'd have to buy the whole assembly(they do not come separately !?!?!?!) x 2 to match and potentially change brake shoes while at it.

There was a recall for this issue but I had it done when it was announced so the dealer says there are no outstanding recalls on my vehicle.

WHAT DO I DO and Who should I contact in Ontario, Canada to address this ?
Should I try my luck at another dealership .......they do ask for VIN number ?

At the moment I must be holding an unpleasant record for number of Focus problems.

What do you mean by "the whole assembly"?

The bearings cannot be bought alone.
They come with the whole rear brake drum.

Not according to Ford or other places like Canadian Tire shop ?!?!?!?

I just went by what the dealer told me.
Obviously they just want to make more $.

Any idea whether I have a chance to have it replaced as part of recall, even though Ford has done it once already.

As far as I am concerned they replaced one faulty part with another !
