Well it's been over 3 years since I last posted in here and the last 2 years or so, I've been using a Sony CDX-M630 head unit with a 10 CD changer. It's been crapping out on me so I just bought a CDX-M9900 on eBay to replace it. These suckers are hard to find and it even comes with the iPod kit. I got it all at a steal of $125 shipped. I will update this post with pictures and my personal review. Too bad Sony doesn't make those fabulous black-out decks anymore but with more modern features.

Now I'm looking for a new dash kit as my old one is broke too . I currently have the Metra 99-5200 but I'm also looking at the Sosche FMC13708.

From Crutchfield with all the extras for $110.
9/10 for a cheap unit. Plays nicely with my iPod Touch and shows all the track info along with complete control. For such a low price installed, it's hard to beat.

Since the stock radio was missing some display crystals, I wanted something cheap that sounded good and had an AUX input for my iPod. This head unit sounds great even with the stock speakers, has great features, built-in equalizer and looks pretty slick without too many blinking lights and different colors. Plus it has a detachable face which I wanted. So far - so good. Install was a piece of cake with the Scosche dash kit, wire harness, and antenna adapter.

Stock radio and my radio removal tool made from a coat hanger:
