Just what I wanted to avoid...It was a really well maintained car before me, but with a used head costing $1500 I kept having nightmares of my timing chain snapping everytime I got on it. So it had to go.

Yeah I heard the 16v had an issue with the chain connecting the cams to each other. The belts alone can be a headache too! The eaks balance shaft seals are a MAJOR pain in the ass too!

My daily driver since Oct 2003= WRB 2004 STi, except I have silver BBS's for summer. Gold RPF-1s for winter.

I drove a 700rwhp 1993 teal cobra #1470. man do i miss it, i could beat my focus without even shifting out of second gear.

1996 Audi A4 Quattro. Full Nuespeed suspension upgrade and 19"'s. Automatic tranny though. Stay away from Audi's their A/C and electrical systems are made of glass.
