2003 SVT Front bumper. Stock vs. aftermarket?

I am having a hell of a time finding a OEM replacement front SVT bumper. Mine was damaged by a truck hitch, now has a big round hole near license plate frame.
I want to stay as SVT stock looking as possible.
Any thoughts on this company, Kaminari?
This bumper looks stock-ish

Is it worth the trouble?

Does anyone have a good used stock SVT front bumper in Texas?

Thanks in advance for help.

Nobody makes an SVT bumper =/ Used ones are rare to see because of trucks with hitchs. I would honestly repair it no matter how bad it is, lots of plasitc weld and fiberglass. The last one I saw listed was $500 for front and rear together the other week and that was the only 1 of a couple I've actually seen all year, they go quick.

To be honest I'd consider a front end swap to the mk1.5 and put a simple lip and paint the lower grill black before using an body kit style bumper .http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=256271

edit: if you do get you bumper fixed, clear fogs can be had for 30 bucks, and smoked ones are like 50. I picked a new set because mine are blue/purple and cracked.

ferret15,

Thanks for the reply. I am not sure about the swap, I like the aggressive look of the SVT and I have the HIDs on mine from the factory. There is a local shop that says that can re-mold the bumper and "restore" it for $255-$270...I guess that is a bargain?

How far are you from Chicago? I am thinking of making a trip to see my sister in the summer and burning some miles in the SVT ZX5.

I would pay them to remould for sure, new bumpers just don't exist anyway. I'm like 60miles out, You should keep any eye out on the forum for semi-local meets that happen in the area. i've been meaning to go to one.

ferret15,

Thanks for the advice. Yes, I plan to join a local Houston meet. Then in the summer meet other FF folks on my way to Chicago

I feel your pain cause my Svt got backed into with a ranger with receiver original owners kid I agree the oem bumpers look very aggressive and with aftermarket they don't fit like oem does well in my experience with mods with previous vehicles
