I'm with you Moonpie. I'm a Ford girl through and through. Can't pay me enough to buy a Honda, Toyota or Nissan. Ford is coming out withg some pretty decent models. I'd rather push a Ford than drive a Chevy

My Focus has 71k. it was in the shop for 2 hours in 2009 to replace a bad relay for the back-up lights, which was covered under warranty. I've had more expensive cars, but never one more reliable.

I had my 2005 focus zx3 ses for 75000 miles before i just traded it in and the only things I had repaired in that time were: 2 sway bar end links, back up light switch in manual tranny and front pads and rotors brakes. Reliabilty has been outstanding. The only reason I traded it in was i had a daughter a year ago and I needed 4 doors.

They are a reliable car. Good on gas, big trunks. If you take care of her she will take care of you.

My 08 has had no problems other than the door sensor in the drivers door being loose and not sensing that the door is closed. Also a bad 3rd syncro because I was going to the track every weekend for like 3 months.

We've updated the our car reliability stats for the Focus to include owner experiences through March 31, 2011.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2009: 73

2008: 77

2007: 52

2006: 54

2005: 96

2004: 77, small sample size

2003: 102

2002: 132

2001: 91

2000: 103

The 2006 and 2001 are better than average, the others are about average. Sample izes are near the minimum in all cases, which likely explains much of the variation from year to year.

We'll have further updates in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and fully cover all model years.

We're especially interested in providing some quick results for the new 2012. 25 cars signed up so far, a very fast start.

We've updated the results for the Focus to include owner experiences through June 30, 2011.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2009: 94, worse than average

2008: 52

2007: 53

2006: 73

2005: 116, worse than average

2004: 81, small sample size

2003: 107

2002: 93

2001: 94, better than average

2000: 123, small sample size

About average except where noted. Sample sizes are near the minimum in all cases, which likely explains much of the variation from year to year.

We'll have further updates in November and February. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and fully cover all model years.

We're especially interested in providing some quick results for the new 2012. 44 cars signed up so far, a very fast start.

I currently own a 2010 SE coupe with 21,400 miles(bought brand new in Feb.2010). No major issues,I've just had regular maintenance done(oil changes, tire rotations, brake adjustments, etc). Last oil change was done month and a half ago fuel economy increased from 29.6 m.p.g. to 32.9 m.p.g. due to BG44K fuel injection cleaning.
