Looking for the quietest Svt 2.5"+ exhaust
Just as the title implies im looking for the Quietest exhaust for an svt.
I have a Standard Svt w/jrscBBK and high flow cat, I want to upgrade the exhaust diameter+flow but not go overboard on the sound and want an almost stock look.

Any thoughts?

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned Borla yet, but its very quiet on the cruise and loud at WOT. So I'd WOT the hell out of it, go with MBRP and attract some attention. Sleepers are so 1980!!!

You could go with Borla (I'd change the tip though... yuck!). I plan on getting a trubendz exhaust with 2.5" Magnaflow muffler and a longer resonator. I think the max sizxe you can fit is 28", which should keep it fairly quiet. I'm not sure if anyone else has done this yet.

Where i live they have a law they passed last year, if your vehicle looks or sounds modified they can pull you over and ticket you for anything modified. Yep they do it too.. closer my car sounds and looks to stock the better. I have already been pulled over in my svtf with it stock and they try and pull that crap..

Some people like it. Personally, I think it looks like ass.


The Magnaflow looks a lot better, IMO.


You can get different tips from either company, but those are what come with the Focus catbacks.

Nah, the Borla tip is better than Magnaflows but, could still use imporvement. Magnaflows is a flat cut, not angled so it sticks out as if it werent meant to be there. The borla's atleast is angled so it flows witht he rear end. Plus, recently, Borla Co. has started engraving the Borla logo on the top of the tip like maganflows. Oh yeah, forget to mention this. Mangaflow's sound is loud and although it does sound awesome, its a bit too high pitch and ricey for me. Borla has a deeper and more... umm.... purring... sound? Plus, well... make up your own mind. Thats just my opinion.

First they pull you over then tell you to pop your hood, they look around for any mods' then ask for the CARB approval EO. No EO you get a fix it ticket. On Exhausts if they think its too loud they write you a fix it ticket then you have to get the DB checked..

Sucks the fat one..
