Question Moving out to Miami, FL from CA. What can i expect car wise?

So my company is sending me to Miami for a few years from the car hell that is California and i was wondering what to expect car wise out there?

1. I read that there is no smog checks out there? Does this mean i can put a turbo on my SVTF and not have to worry about paying off the smog guy just to get my registration? errr...not, that i have ever....done...that.. ;-)

2. Is 93 octane available everywhere out there??!! Out here you have to go to special stations to get 93, and pay $3.75-$4.00/gal

3. When i was doing a house hunting trip out there I didn't seem to see much in the way of riced out rides, at least no where near as much as there is here in the San Fransisco Area.

4. Finally, are there any good tuning shops out there?

Thanks for everyones time.

well, there arent any smog checks yet....but there will be some soon, atleast thats the news floating around FJ. There are riced out cars, theyre just farther between. Steeda is right there in Pompano Beach. If your gonna be living in South Miami, it will be about an hour to the shop depending on traffic. Moroso is in Norther West Palm Beach and takes about an hour to get there from Steeda. 93 octane is pretty available and its usually the permium here octane for sale. Only at a few places have I seen 91 as a middle between mid grade and premium.
