Rear Window Regulators

so both of my rear window regulators broke within a day of each other and now the windows fall on their own (lots of fun in the rain i tell ya). The shop was going to charge me between $500 and $600 to fix them, so I went to South West Ford Parts's website and entered my VIN and they sent me an email with the parts I need. Now that my regulator assemblies have arrived, I was hoping someone would be able to give me a pretty good idea of what to do to replace them. My brother is going to be doing it, and he "knows" how, and from the little bit of instructions I've managed to find online it sounds pretty straightforward anyways, but I just want to double check. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks!

I'd check out either a Chiltons or Haynes repair manual. They're only about $15-20 bucks and typically have illustrations or pictures of procedures.

you will need a 20 torque bit and 1/4 socket to remove the door panels.8mm socket to remove the regulator.the glass in held in the regulator with a plastic pin (wedge style) you wil need a punch to knock out the center of the plastic pin.remove the pin push the window all the way up and use tape to hold it up.remove the regulator transfer the motor if you have power windows.install the push pin in the glass first.install the regulator lower the glass so it just touches the regulator then push down hard and it will lock into place.hope this helps
