Replacing A Timing Belt: Who Would You Trust in Atlanta?

My 2000 Focus SE (DOHC) just rolled over 112k. I could go another 8,000 miles according to the manual, but why wait?

I'm not sure I trust Team Ford, as they never let me talk to a mechanic directly. I'd go with a local mechanic, but his estimate for work seems a little high. And I've considered my father-in-law's offer to team up against this challenge ourselves. He's a retired mechanic who has done work on my Focus from time to time.

So what would you fine people do? Where would you take it? I'm located in North Atlanta, closer to Alpharetta.

If you have enough mechanical skill, i'd do it yourself and save A LOT of money. If not, i'd suggest taking it to a ford dealership.

Yeah the team dealership in Atlanta is not the best. I am looking in Atlanta for a good mechanic for the SVT. I just don't have the room or tools to tackle projects by myself.
