No this is a whole new Focus built Track Car for the Mid-Ohio shootout that the East Coast guys chose not to show up and run against

ok i'm a little lost about the hood? what was done to it? looks like all of the supports were taken out?

the inner supports were plasma cut out, how heavy is the hood tom? is it lighter than a carbon fiber hood? we do this to our race cars ebcause we have to run steel body but they are still about 8 lbs

its hard to do it and not burn through the other side

The inner hood supports can be removed with a cut-off wheel as well if you're VERY careful. You can slip a small piece of 20-24 gauge sheel metal between the inner support and hood skin, that way if the cut-off wheel slips it only contacts the sheet metal. Not as fast as a plasma cutter, but it works.

AWESOME car! It would make one helluva nice SCCA ITE track car.
