TRACK: Powerworks times.

Went to the track last night, with very mixed results.

Best results in a single run:

r/t: .586
60 ft: 2.074
330: 5.890
1/8: 8.894
mph: 80.79
1000: 11.527
1/4: 13.893
mph: 99.83

Had serious traction issues with 225/50-15 BFG drag radials. Several people told me the track was cold (55-60'ish that night) but I am pretty sure my lack of drag racing experiance didnt help any either. Spun thru 1st and 2nd gears most of the time and missed shifts a few times as well. Times varied from 13.8 to 15.05, and I put in about 12-15 passes. Learned alot, though, and look foward to going to the track at least 2-3 times a month next year.

Only lost 2 races, one to a Trailblazer SS (ran 12.1's all night) and a Z28 with full exhaust and bolton's (ran 13.7 and I missed 2nd gear)

I seriously need to learn how to drive this car from a dig and getting a limited slip is now at the top of my list of needed parts.

Anyway, Im happy I now officially drive a 13 second focus.

heh, how did ya guess?

Im still on a stock tranny with only the FR clutch. When that blows up (in the VERY near future, as the BBK from massive is going on next week..) the LSD (most likely a torsen unit) will be going in.

with a LSD, i would have probably been in the mid-low 13's easy.
