I think I might have screwed up my brakes! Please Read.

I installed new rotors and pads yesterday. Now I notice that the brakes are smoking a little bit. Did I freeze the calipers or something? I did use brake clean to clean the rotors before I installed them. Do you think it could be just excess burning off.

Please Advise. Thanks.

it should not be from the brakleen, i use it everyday and it has never done that... if its smoking, its probably due to the caliper freezing up, go get a caliper rebuild kit and replace the gaskets, clean up the piston.

Are they smoking when u only press on them? If so it might be the spray heating up and causing it to burn. Since it could be flamable.

My header did the same thing on the first day, I think it is some of the coatings burning off.
