Thanks see thats a qucik and simple answer. Ingalls is working on a new SVT bracket but needs to see how well the regular focus kit sells before a new bracket is made for the Svt. As of now John has gave a very good guide on how to install the damper on a SVT.

Ok, I got a few miles on the "stiffy" over the last couple of days....

The vibration reminded me of when I just had the dogbone polymount by itself, The cabin noise was just aggrevating me to death... so when I got to moms to visit I decided I would take the ETD off and leave the brackets in place so I could use the ETD at the track.... or even an Auto X course or two.

Well apperantly it isnt the ETD causing the vibration... I have the same vibration with it off as I did with it on.. the ONLY thing I can think of is I didn't get the engine mount aligned correctly when I took the bolts off to install the Stiffy... I supported the engine during the change out but I guess I didnt do it good enough :lol:

What I need to know is what is the torque specs on both the engine side and the chassis side bolts that holds the mount in place.

Thumbs up Vibration problem FIXED!!!

ANOTHER UPDATE FOR SVT OWNERS... and Larry

In the last post I was complaining about the vibration I was having and I thought is was a misaligned motor mount....

Well I was wrong..... The chassis side Ingall's mount was making contact with the SVT motor mount... this is understandable since the bracket is designed for the normal ZX3 mount......

Here it is......




as you can see it was making contact over an 1.5 inch area, so I took it off... got out the trusty ole grinder and made a "modification"




I reinstalled the bracket, torqued everything back to spec and took it fir a ride.

There is NO vibration now, and NO feelable movement in the engine/tranny everything just feels right when driving down the road. I must say I'm pretty pleased with the results I've gotten and I hope this series of posts helps others in there Stiffy Installation.

...Hey John, is that the VF mount?? do you know if the "footprint" of the VF mount is the same as stock??
...Oh, does the aluminum mount move in the notch you cut out?? Good observation by the way....
