When I did my header install, I sprayed everything down about six hours before I started with PB Blaster, and drove the car around before I tried taking any of the bolts off so it got hot while the penetrating lubricant was on it. I didn't have any problems with bolts not coming out...I think the difference was getting everything hot plus a good six hours of soak time.

wow, 6 hours.. it was that bad? Mine was ok, i guess. The car has seen snow only about 5 times, but that's about it.

Yeah, I'm planning on doing the entire exhaust this weekend. I've been reading about how to deal with rusted bolts and some people recommend to start spraying the bolts down with PB Blaster everyday for a week before you start. Does anyone think that is excessive? Also because I don't have access to air tools I've been thinking about buying a cordless impact wrench to help with the install, do you guys think it is worth buying?

just for this job no it's not worth buying. Possibly renting, but not worth buying. If you used it all the time then yes it would be worth buying

As far as lubing up the bolts and everything a week a head of time, yes it might be a little excessive, but if your bolts come out real easy, you can considered money and time well spent

...and if you don't mind driving around for a week with smoke rolling out of your radiator grille.

Finished my install over the weekend. I ran into a couple of problems myself. My dad and I managed to get all the old bolts out except one, that was where the cat connected to the flex. We ended up rounding the bolt, but luckily we had one of the extractor sockets. That thing is wonderful; The bolt came right out. The other problem was the o2 sensors. They would not move. They seemed to be practically welded on. I used an o2 socket and I still couldn't get it off. So, I bit the bullet and bought two new ones. The only big mistake we made was we took the radiator fans completely off to make more room to put the header and the heat sheild on. Well after we got the header on, we found out that it was almost impossible to get it back on from the bottom. We had to disconnect some radiator hoses in order to get it back in from the top. All in all it was worth it!
