Hey, whats up the last few days i've been playing around with my friends G tec and the first few times i ran a 8.35, 0-60 and a 16.5 at 85 QM, then they got alittle worse and a little better, i said to my self i should be able to get into the 7 sec's, and this morning i did, i got a 7.53, 0-60 time. What other times have people ran and how accurate is the G tec???

thanks chris

The G tech isnt very accurate. Especially when it comes to finding out how much horsepower you have because all your wheels are moving, plus the wind and you got to make sure you put in the accurate amount of vehicle weight plus the occupants wieght. On a dynojet tho, your front wheels would be on a roller. In a SCC mag, they did a test with a RX-8 using a G-tech and a dynojet, the dynojet read 188 hp and 135 lb-ft of torque. Well the G-tech read 156hp and 108 lb-ft of torque.

Actually, for 1/4 miles, its pretty consistant. MPHs will be off, because of how it needs to exceed a treshold to start. Here are some of my numbers from my last track event:

Track: 16.096 @ 87.5
Gtech: 16.05 @ 91.5

Track: 15.857 @ 87.4
Gtech: 15.88 @ 91.3

Track: 15.597 @ 87.7
Gtech: 15.56 @ 91.4

Track: 15.724 @ 87.3
Gtech: 15.57 @ 91.3

So, 1/4 times, it does really well. HP readings, that tends to be a little flaky though.
