I think it goes to teal when you open the door in the dark (the open door goes to red) and when you shut the door and start the car, it goes back to the selected color. That's how mine works, anyway.

And if you push the button to the right of the ambient dimmer knob, the dome lights come on with white ambient lights as "search mode" (as in search for that quarter you dropped on the floor).
