Got a list at least as long as my SVTf's to get this car ready for Carlisle...which is in less than 2 weeks...
-fix HIDs
-Repaint front mesh
-Replace front endlinks
-New bushings for rear endlinks
-Finish the catch-can and install it
-Remove rear stress bar and reinstall subwoofer/carpet
-Swap wheels
-Wash/clay bar/wax
-Interior detail/vacuum/shampoo
-Engine detail
-Rally letters for FR
-New AutoX magnets?
I have 2 days off in a row next week and a few short days here and there that I will hopefully be able to use to knock out the majority of this on both cars...wish me luck!
Haven't been spending a lot of money on it lately with saving the 2012's down payment and whatever, but been doing stuff and things regardless. Removed the clear corners and replaced them with nightshaded stock corners and have to say its improved the look of the whole car. Also with an Amazon gift card birthday present I bought the remaining hardware for the CarPC, its assembled and is awaiting testing.
The big semi-annual Daytona meet was this weekend and in between drinking, beaching, and looking sexy I managed to grab a shot or two.
To-do (red=completed)
-Swap in nightshaded stock bumper lenses to replace the hideous smoked/clear ones.
-Get new CarPC hardware assembled and installed.
-Do something with the trunk.
-Valve cover breather catch-can
-PCV inline catch-can
-Buy and install HID kit
Been neglecting the car lately as I just picked up a new one (http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=258235) but last Saturday was the monthly autocross! Car legitamately freaked me out pulling into traffic, surprising how immediately fast it is compared to the new car...
Car performed BEAUTIFULLY, fastest in my class by over a second, fastest FWD, 14th fastest overall time (.3 second faster than a Lotus Elise [hihi]), and just an all around good day.
So I got first place in my class for the 2010-11 AutoX season. Pretty sweet, LINK TO POINTS
First race of the 2011-12 Season is Saturday the 10th here tomorrow. Hoping to dominate again [deviltail]
Been working on the car in the off season, be nice if my "new" camera would work but it won't so I need to borrow someone else's to show off my handiness.
I am sitting in Second place in our region ... stinking Civic has me by 15 points. We have 3 more months of running after this Sunday. I've taken out the Civic twice ... but it definitely is a tough run. I love the competitive battles.

Got third place in the season opener yesterday, rained HARDDD. Had the wrong tires on and no way to change em so I ran it anyways. Wasn't quite like ice skating but definitely slippery out there. Excited for the rest of the season for sure!
Results by time: 36th place overall, not bad considering a full half of the racers got to race before the rain, a quarter raced in the monsoon, and my quarter raced just after the rain.
Missed the October race because registration filled before I got around to doing it but I made last months and this next weekend (12/10) is the December race!
Couple pics from the November race, I got 3rd. Again.
I have almost if not just as much fun doing this than driving my car!!
Let me know if you want any help with the detailing... If you don't mind me adding as well to your detail list I would recommend...
-wash/claybar/polish/wax
not sure when you polished your car last but generally if I clay bar a car to pull all that shat out of the clearcoat, it only makes since to put a nice coat of polish down as well just to kinda finish her off in cleaning out any BS out of the clear before sealing up and protecting her with the wax.
I believe consumer reports rates Nufinish as the best OTC polish and I just bought the Nufinish scratch remover which works great as well...(10yr old black car lol) just my $0.02 since If I remember correctly the Warneej Race Focus is either black or really dark blue right?
Either way, best of luck to ya and shoot me a PM next time you guys have a lil' meet. I always forget to pay as much attention to the regional forums. lol
Gonna be driving the race car up to Carlisle in a few weeks for the All-Ford Nationals and Focus Rising 2012 so thought it'd be about time to start yet another prep countdown.
Looks as though we'll be heading out Wednesday, May 30th this time to make it up there Friday some time.
Bunch of stuff to do as the car has been run hard over the last year to get it up to snuff.
Finally out of the garage after being out of service for 7 weeks due to my broken shifter hand.
To do:
-Fix front bumper, been sagging a little bit plus a few chips and whatnot.
-Re-do grilles and underbody tray, found a company in Tampa that makes OEM quality mesh and have a few ideas plus the underbody tray has seen a few obstacles in its days and is pretty wrecked.
-Lower it another inch.
-Get some audio in there, been running full race-car for over a year but probably going to reinstall the amp with a line-in for Pandora and junk.
-Flush brake lines
-Oil change-DONE
-Replace fog lamps as they are shattered.
-Detail the $#!+ out of it.
-New car show info board.
I imagine more to come as the time progresses.
