Got a list at least as long as my SVTf's to get this car ready for Carlisle...which is in less than 2 weeks...
-fix HIDs
-Repaint front mesh
-Replace front endlinks
-New bushings for rear endlinks
-Finish the catch-can and install it
-Remove rear stress bar and reinstall subwoofer/carpet
-Swap wheels
-Wash/clay bar/wax
-Interior detail/vacuum/shampoo
-Engine detail
-Rally letters for FR
-New AutoX magnets?
I have 2 days off in a row next week and a few short days here and there that I will hopefully be able to use to knock out the majority of this on both cars...wish me luck!
So I may have cheated a little bit, I may have knocked some stuff off my list before I technically had a list...
I have been meaning to get/make some catch-cans for both my valve cover breather and in between my PCV and intake manifold. Problem is that all the pre-made ones that I found had far too small fittings. So I decided to get creative and last weekend I found a baller container and went to town building a valve cover breather catch-can.
I ran a high quality hose from up here, around behind the battery...
over to "catch-can-corner" where everyone seems to place theirs...
Where it catches any oil that my motor may puke up when it passes 7,000RPM instead of pumping it into my intake manifold...the top screws off nice and easy too for checkups!
Now I just need to fab up a sealed one for inline in the PCV system...
Found a Coleman "airtight food saver" canister in the camping section at wal-mart, combined with a 5/8" heater hose fitting, a breather filter from a small block chevy, and a little bit of drilling and cutting and I had myself a catch can!
HEY! I'm still here, just being busy and junk. Attempted to nightshade my stock corner lights but they must have had some sort of oily residue on them because the nightshade coated all weird and so I'm going to have to redo them. Will paint thinner take it off or will I have to sand?
Caught an HID kit on sale at Amazon today so there's something from LAST year's list I can check off once it gets here. The cut-off is perfect in the ST170s as long as they're aimed slightly down.
To-do (red=completed)
-Swap in nightshaded stock bumper lenses to replace the hideous smoked/clear ones.
-Get new CarPC hardware assembled and installed. That means actually buying that last piece you've been putting off for like ever.
-Do something with the trunk.
-Valve cover breather catch-can
-PCV inline catch-can
-Buy and install HID kit
Stuff and things has been happening on the SVT as well, about time to start a thread for that guy once I get some new pictars.
HID on the passenger, Silverstar on the driver. I've missed you.

Then Joel (2-D) and I had a garage day this morning and got some shiz accomplished like changed the oil and junk.
