Wheel play but no noise?

Searching has given me zero leads for this so apologies of its been posted already.

2003 zx3 2.0

Front passenger bearing replaced about 1.5 years ago where it made noise definitely telling me it was time to be replaced. Right now, there is absolutely no noise whatsoever but there is play but not in the typical 12-6 orientation, only 9-3. I can see the entire knuckle along with the hub, axle nut, etc moves.

All indications are that it's a bearing but with absolutely no noise, I'm stumped. Could the problem be with the cv axle at all? I have no knocking when turning except on a rare occasion when I turn for a u-turn, I hear a thud but not the typical knocking sound.

I already have the part and ready to do this but I would like some input as to whether its definitely bearing as I don't wanna waste a day along with having to take the knuckle to have the bearing pressed out and in if I don't have to

A single thud or thump is ball joint wear.

9-3 looseness is tie rod end if truly none at 12-6. Harder to move 12-6 though, you gotta manhandle it.
