2008 Focus A/C Low Side Port

I am trying to help my father recharge his A/C system. I have a 2005 ZX3 and know the low side port is behind the front passenger fender, but he has a 2008 Four Door. I know starting with the 2008 models there was a complete redesign. I figured the low side port would still be in the same place, but I did not find it behind the splash guards. Does anyone know where to find the low side port on a 2008 Ford Focus SE Four Door Sedan?

Thanks,
Brian

It's on the passenger side and it has a green cap on it. Just look for the silver pipe with the green cap sticking up. It's very easy to see and very easy to get to, unlike the previous years. It's also the only port that your gages/freon can will fit. I traded in my 08 so I can't get you a picture.

Verify... please

Digging up an old thread, Can anyone confirm one of these so that i can recharge my focus :D. I also have a 2008 Focus and would like to know which is the correct port. The one near the passenger side on top has a black cap on my model. Is this the low side? The nozzle does fit for recharge i would just hate to pump away and have it wreck it my car.

The two ports are purposely different sizes so the connector will NOT FIT the wrong one. To prevent people blowing fingers off and such. If you can't get connector on you are on the wrong port.

Thanks, then it must be the one that is easy to access, on the passenger side on the car.

Dunno, the easy one is usually up front and the wrong one, or the one around condenser. Often the correct one in back by firewall. Depends on how lines routed.

Digging up this thread again as well. Can anyone confirm the low-side port location on a 2008 series focus? A picture would be helpful. Dealer will not provide the information.

Low pressure valve is located on the compressor suction line next to the right hand strut tower.
