Ahh I see. Nice! Fun project but also good to have the parts back.

Yeah, it will be nice to have a place to put my elbows and devices to shield my eyes from excessive sunlight.

It feels so soft...

Suede? very nice!

Looks like you're going to put a stop to those people who discounted the MK3 for keeping the interior stock...(I think I remember you saying that) It doesn't matter though, it looks like it should be awesome and I'm sure it will feel awesome as well.

Anyone who discounted Duane's mk3 for having a stock interior, which was a nice one at that was crazy. His mk3 was one of the first and most heavily modified mk3 foci around. And being honest with so much aftermarket attention being focused on the focus st and fiesta st there really weren't options for modding the interior.

I totally agree. Love that car. I even say it inspired many of us here, including myself.

I just remember him saying that on this thread a while ago. Too late for me search but its somewhere... I think.

No, you're right. It wasn't that other people didn't like the interior-it's that judges commented on it being 'just stock'. My car would evoke a certain emotion when they saw it from the outside but that emotion didn't continue when they looked inside. My problem was that I really liked the Mk3 interior, so making decisions on how to move forward in a way that didn't take away from that was difficult.

I've only gotten a few pieces installed so far but I love the way they complement the interior in a sort of OEM+ sort of way. I'll get some more interior shots once I get everything reinstalled, along with a full write-up.

Looking forward to seeing it. The mk3 interior is one of my favorite pieces of the car. Hard to think of ways to improve it.
