2012 Focus Tire Wear
I have a 2012 Focus SEL and the rear tires are noticeably out of line. We noticed it soon after we purchased the car and contacted the dealer for specifications. Based on info from the dealer and Ford engineers, the rear tires are "splayed" out. According to the dealer, the tires are supposed to get app. 60K in mileage. So far I have 33K (I drive a lot) and the tires are wearing. Anyone else notice this or something similar?

If you're complaining about the negative camber in the rear that was done by design to help handling. It shouldn't be wearing the tires unevenly though unless your car is out of specification.
In the first 5000 miles my rear tires were still at 10/32nds and the fronts had worn to 9/32nds, I've since swapped wheels at just shy of 11,000 miles, but they were still wearing evenly as far as I can tell. The 16"s just rode roughly over broken pavement though.

What do you mean by "wearing"? I would expect them to be at around 6/32nds at your mileage. Mine are at 8-9 /32nds at 12k miles. At that rate they should last well past 50k miles. My wear appears to be even but I rotated them at 4.5k and 9k miles, and will do so again in the next month or two.

Stock tires are generally not the best. if you get 40k that is pretty good actually. Especially if they are Bridgestones. Check Tire Rack reviews.

Any tire rated at 60K better have wear at 30K+ or something is wrong. The tread should be half gone.

Usually the 2nd half of a tire life is a bit longer then the first half because there isn't as much squirming with the shorter tread depth. If you get 30k miles and are worn to 6/32 you would get at least 30k before they were down to the minimum 2/32. Now I never like running a tire down to 2/32 because you basically lose all wet traction, so it just depends on your definition of "worn"
