MK1 Shift Knob Thread Size
I've tried searching I can't seem to find it. Perhaps it's too late for me. I ordered a Blox Knob and it doesn't fit, seems too small. Is the thread 10x1.5 for the MK1s?

I went ahead and merged your two posts, pretty much the same question.
Ebay/Amazon will have lots that are universal... generally they are held on with an allen key or other similar type bolt. That and Google for 12x1.25 should find you some other ones that twist on. Other universal style ones will have different size adapters that will allow you to thread to 12x1.25 The one thing you may want to consider before you get a metal/chrome one is that they retain heat/cold for a while. So in the winter, near freezing it will be really cold for a while and then really hot in the summer. Last edited by rambleon84; 02-12-2013 at 08:53 AM. |

It is M12x1.25. IIRC Subaru knobs and 2005+ Mustang knobs should use the same thread pattern.

Try threading a stock lug nut on to it as they are also 12x1.5.
When I made a short shifter I bought one from House of Tools (now defunct sadly). If you are married to the Blox Knob then re-thread your shifter to fit. Stop by Princess Auto and pick this up for $19.99 http://www.princessauto.com/pal/prod...ap-%26-Die-Set |

It really is 12x1.25...
http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=246428 http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=97316 https://www.speeddawg.com/shifter-thread-sizes http://era-one.com/blogs/part-specif...-thread-pitchs If the 2007s have the reverse lockout, where you need to lift the plastic guy to get into reverse, you'll have to either find a knob that is compatible with that feature or delete the reverse lockout by removing the mechanisms.
