has anyone used TITAN ATF 3353 by Fuchs as a mercon V replacement ? It seems compatible and their website recommends it for 4f27e transmission, and I cant find anything else that is compatible or IS mercon v

Also since my oil is still not replaced, what are the symptoms of oil needing change ?

TITAN ATF 3353 is an ultra-high-performance DEXRON III-generation-ATF for automatic transmissions.
http://www.fuchslubricants.com/titan-atf-3353

I would not use it.

Their ATF 5005 cross lists with Ford Mercon V (if you trust their website)

Their site actually lists 3353 before 5005 on recommended for automatic trans(http://fuchs-eu.lubricantadvisor.com...&isKioskMode=0)..

its still near 30$ for 1l which seems kinda crazy considering the price i find in sites like ebay.. and the ford dealership here asks for ~50$ for 1l which is insane.

It is an issue, if I order it from germany on ebay lets say, I need to pay a bunch for shipping then tax and customs for the product and the shipping(!?). thats why im interested to know how do those multi car oils..

also what are symptoms of having bad oil?

My car picks up speed fast when its cold, but after it warms up its sluggish and you need to find the right amount of revs to get it going properly.. im thinking since its directly related to temperature just like oil viscosity. But could it be something else ?

Old trans fluid doesn't cause noticeable operation issues, it does shorten the life of the transmission though. When the fluid gets brown or burnt, that is a symptom of a mechanical issue, not the cause of the issue.

Does the trans fluid smell burnt? Is it red or brown?
Are you sure it's a transmission problem, not an engine problem?

trans fluid is on the brown side, and has a some kind of sweet smell on it, not a burnt one..

im pretty sure its a trans problem since i had "shift solenoid E" error and trans light on which made me replace the solenoids, and turned out that the problem wasnt in them at all.

also the car shakes sometimes when its warmed up and put in reverse. i have to switch out of reverse before the engine dies when that happens
