Different tubing for the ST's turbo
So I was showing my car to a friend the other night and he was looking under the hood. He pointed out that the ST uses rubber tubing for the turbo and that metal tubing would help with power as the metal wouldnt expand under heavy usage of the turbo.
Has anyone else thought about this? Is this true? Does anyone make different tubing for the ST's turbo? |

I think that most tuners use silicone to fix this, as metal will still expand in heat. I'm not totally sure though. Was he pointing out the cold or hot side of the turbo?
I haven't seen any silicone or hard pipe kits yet for the ST, but I'm sure someone will make them. Samco made a kit for the last ST, so I'd imagine they'll make one for the 2013. It sounds kind of like this is what he was pointing out. http://j-w-racing.co.uk/product.php/..._ford_focus_st |
