I'll stick with the stock ones then.

So how exactly do they affect the toe while driving? More? Less? And how would adjusting the toe with the adjustable toe links affect the driving dynamics?

The different links that attach to the trailing arm travel in different arcs. So they push and pull the arm in and out as they travel. This creates the dynamic toe change that makes the Focus feel so fun and playful compared to many other compact cars.

Putting bearing end toe links like the ones Massive sells (I run their links, FWIW) means that there is no bushing compliance when that link pushes on the arm. I haven't plotted the exact arcs, but the toe link is in front of rear wheel, so compliance in that link will most likely cause toe in. Rear toe in causes more understeer, so adding these links should cause the car to be sharper on turn in as it will reduce the toe in caused by the bushing compliance.

I am sure an engineer could plot it all out for, do the force vectors and the rest of the stuff, but I believe that I have the direction of things correct even if I cannot quantify the magnitude nor explain the exact mechanics that cause what is going on.
