problem with AC

I have an 03 sedan, stick shift with the zetec, and I'm having an issue with the AC and the blower. The blower will only work on 3 and 4, 1 and 2 do nothing. That started late winter. Now when I tried using my AC today,I put the blower on 3 and 4 and turned the AC and recirculate on but only the recirculate light came on and the air wasn't cold. But when I put the blower on 1 or 2, the AC light comes on and I can hear the AC kicking on, but there's no airflow. Any thoughts as to what could be causing this? Anyone have a similar issue?

This happened to my 00 Focus. I had to replace the switch. The one that goes 0,1,2,3,4 for the blower.

Yeah, most likely the switch in this case.
