Finally i decided not to sell my car (just bought a new wagon a month ago, of course focus..) but make it look like an RS in PantherBlack with a beast engine ;-)

1st step: wheels/tyres, brakes, absorters, springs (whole suspension)
2nd step: front fenders/front bumper/RS springs
3rd step: rear fenders/rear bumper/RS springs
4th step: engine and engine management.
5th step: interrior (leather sparco, car pc, etc)
6th step: four wheel drive

I made a lot of modifications on my car until now, full blue interrior lights, white gauges, etc..

Now I had to put my stock springs back because of the bigger wheels/tyres. Here are some pics without comments about the parts i already bought.
For the RS the stock parts are: Sachs race absorters/springs, Brembo 4 cylinder brake calippers, oz wheels, etc..

i also changed my headlights recently to the facelifted ones. now i changed them to hella lights.

More pix about my car

I will post frequently new pics ;-)

I also bought the RS knockle and ballbearing but the inner diameter for the RS is 40mm and the stock is 38mm. The rs HUB would fit, but the stock halfshaft is different so i make a new inner ring for the RS ballbearing (38mm). This will be ready for the next weekend, so i will put in the brake, absorter and wheels to the front on the weekend.

how do you exepect to put in AWD
The Zetec Ford Mondeo's (1997-2000) gearbox is MTX75 as the Focus'. For the mondeo you can have the extention for the reardrive. You have to buy the center differential and the oilpan, mediate crank-case of the zetec mondeo and also the cardan-shaft.
The rear segment can be easly made from an RS or cosworth escort.

wow very nice! Can't wait to see the completed process!

yeah, there is, but that would just cause big arguments! LOL

I love my DURATEC RS, wouldn't change it for anything. But I have driven a turbocharged Mondeo (same block) with all the same spec as the RS, but feels completely different and the power is different too....so gotta be different!

there is no difference between the short blocks. what can be the difference? nothing, same size, same holes. the difference is in the additional applications, rods, pistons, pulleys, head, camshafts... intakes, header with the garret. that makes it to be an rs.

i will go for a motec with a cgi block and a turbo to get out 2 bar at least;-)

but now i have to wait for my ballbearings...only 4 days left to have them, i cannot wait to install those brembo calippers;-))

updating, taking out the knockle and stock absorter. new sochs (rs) racing absorters in, old brake calipers out and new hoses in:

i will install new knockle with the new ballbearings and hub on the weekend. suspension and brakes will be ready for first run soon;-)
