Completely agree. Just a random post over at SMR so I threw it up here for giggles. After announcing the addition of Applink to existing Sync/MyFord versions at CES last Jan, when pressed about Applink and MFT they stated that it was not available. If something was really in the works, and "soon", I'm sure they would have been more than happy to let every media outlet they could know about it.

Given the move away from windows ce (or whatever it is called), I will be surprised if we see another update at all. I think they are going to declare success for getting the current software somewhat stabilized and then put it out to pasture so they can devote their efforts to its replacement. My best guess is that our only hope for new functionality is if the new OS can run on our current hardware - but I'm not optimistic.

Obviously though, that is all just guessing.

Nah, we will get more updates, Ford is still putting out cars with the software. The new 2015 Focus that is a fresh model is supposed to have MFT, so its unlikely they will stop providing updates.

It would be interesting if the QNX system is designed in a way that it can be dealer flashed over MFT

They will update to maintain compatibility (bluetooth), etc but I will be very surprised to see any new functionality.

I did, both were Samsung Wave 8500. they were both paired for a year and a half. Besides some really annoying audio message I received each time the car connected to my phone, it all worked well.

The car was making a very loud and audible ''DING!'' for each texto I had received during the day, even tho I had read them all before getting in the car. It sounded like ''DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING-DING'' for each texto I got during the day...very annoying. And then I had some updates applied to the car and that quirk went away...Now if only MFT could learn the difference between 20 and 50, it'll be great...

I've got two Moto X's and a Droid Bionic attached to mine, no problems to speak of. The primary (favorite) phone is always preferred when connecting to the phone portion of MFT and the Bluetooth audio uses whichever device you specify.

Usually my wife's X takes over the phone part and I stream Pandora from my X. When there's poor signal, the Bionic takes over the music duties via the 32gb microSD card sitting in it.

I have 5 or 6 different models paired with mine. Androids, iPhones and basic phones.

Hopefully this is caused by MFT software.

4779 - 2013-2014 Focus, Focus Electric, CMAX, CMAX Energi, Superduty, Fiesta - My Ford Touch - Frozen Or Delayed Update Of Radio Station Display
Some customers with 2013-2014 Focus, Focus Electric, CMAX, CMAX Energi, F-Super Duty, and Fiesta vehicles equipped with My Ford Touch may exhibit an intermittent concern while changing radio stations where the screen display appears to freeze and does not display the updated frequency or channel, but the audio output does change. The screen may display the correct frequency or channel after a few minute delay. This may occur on FM, AM bands and/or Sirius channels. Do not attempt to resolve this condition. Engineering is working on a resolution which should be available 2nd Quarter 2014. Monitor OASIS for updates and continue to submit Global Concern Reports.
