In my opinion the best wheel and tire calculator. Tire Calculator

Snow is just around the corner in the northern states, thought this might come in handy.

I just bought a brand new set of these for my new Focus. The actual weight from a good digital scale with no valve, TPMS or center cap is: 18.9 lbs (18 lbs. 14 oz.)

If the picture disappears they are part number CV6Z1007G, I believe.

16", ten spokes that split to make 20 points of contact with the hoop. They seem pretty rare.

saw these on a MKS earlier. Do not believe they are 5 x108 since i know the taurus is not. But they do look so much like the RS wheels Automotive design Car Vehicle Alloy wheel Rim

That's an MKZ not an MKS, so it is 5x108 mm since it's using the same pattern as the Fusion.

The MKS is 5x114.3, but the MKZ is not.

We can add the 2015 MKC, the new 2015 Edge and probably upcoming 2016 Lincoln MKX to the list of 5 x 108 wheels. Not sure on the backspace of those though.

Hey guys:

New MK3 Owner. I have a '12 S sedan with the 15" Steelies.

Not looking to upsize wheels per se...but I'm interested in putting as much rubber on the road as I can, at least for summer tires.

Stock tires are 195 /65...If I go to a 205 or a 215 width, am I likely to have any rubbing issues?

I'm assuming "no", given the availability of 17" and 18: wheel options.

TIA!

Even if you don't rub, the tires would be too wide for the rims, and changing ONLY the size not the aspect ratio as well means they'd be too large in diameter - changing gear ratios and speedometer readings (less acceleration, reads low vs. actual).

205-215 fits well on a 7" wide rim, and yours are 6" wide now.

Look at the next stock size up for comparison, 215/55-16 on a 6.5 or 7" wide rim.

Changes in rim width also use corresponding changes in offset to make it all fit right.

Likely someone swapped to winter wheels and didn't switch back before trading in the car as that is an OEM sized wheel often used for winter packages on STs and Ti Foci that had a set of 18x8" wheels with summer tires.

Maybe, but the tires are Continental contipro contact all season on 17" polished ford focus factory wheels. Maybe you're correct but i couldn't see putting those rims on as winter beaters. Maybe the dealer changed out the worn rubber from winters as I did buy it in June. there's not a mark on the wheels to suggest they have seen salted roads.
