This thread is so old it farts dust and really isn't relevant to the current itineration of the RS.

Yea, you can hope for a '15 rs, but realisty its not going to happen. Ford's busy getting their only rwd car going & I would too. Next move I'd say is for Ford to bring out a track pack for the ST(BBK & a Torsen) & possible 23 motor for it.

An RS will happen but probably won't be available in the US especially with the updated ST just out and the new Mustang turbo 4 debuting.

Thats realisty what I'm thinking also^^^^^^^^ I'd rather see a bbk & a torsen as a option pkg then the visual update.

BBK has a small chance, torsen - not much.

When I see a review of the latest McLaren 650S at $265,500 and it uses brake modulation for slip control ("electronic LSD") you know factory mechanical units are on the way out.

Could be, I like mechanical grip over electronic setups. Does everthing have to be electronic or am I getting old to fast???

I was reading something on this. Focus owners are so niche its hard for Ford to bring it to the US. Most focus owners out there are a the grocery getters. Unfortunately we are the minority. And yes if you get on a post about the Focus RS of course it looks like everyone wants one, but that is a biased polling base :) Not sure this will ever happen, but hopefully the success of the ST will nudge Ford in the right direction.

I had to say I would not buy one (as there was no price selection for I would wait till the previous owner was done with it and buy it for alot less) I usually buy other peoples problems/junk then try to give it a few more years before it goes off to become a container for baked beans!

I right there with you. One less electronic controller is a good thing. I wish we could still do a radio delete as a selection.

Definitely agree because I just priced out a new ST and it came out to $29,900 before taxes. I think an RS would definitely be a lot more (>$31k) and as the chart shows there are very few willing to spend that kind of money.
