'13 Mopar Dodge Dart Released Before Chicago Debut

^ gotta love media and the crap filled marketing scam that we see on TV these days. This thing don't get close to the MPG they claim either. Even 98% hwy with 91 recommended and easy on the pedal I get no better than 30-31. Its winter tho. And been windy as hell.
I'm not a mopar or dodge fanboy. I like to hear both sides.

I work on 'em for a living... they handle alright. And out-of-the-box they leave a little to be desired power-wise; but so did my mk1 and I'm still throwing money at the solution! The styling isn't terrible, it's decent for an American redux (unless your ass is chapped that we never got the Alfa), I think people will debate and debate thus until the 'Street Fighter' comes out in a year or two: I'm already considering getting one based on the scuttlebutt at work and corporate training centers (they have the best water-cooler discussions!)!

That's a rousing endorsement of the Dart's styling, that it "isn't terrible". I agree, it's mediocre but at least it's not "Euro-peen" offensive to the sensibilities of American mullet haircut wearers everywhere. If only it had big fins or a giant spoiler on the rear it would all set for those Mopar guys. They can always add large fuzzy dice or something to hang from the rear view mirror though. It basically is the Alfa Romeo except for the styling changes to the exterior and some details like lengthening and widening the body structure a bit so Americans would fit (which also makes it heavier) and meeting US federal regs on lights etc. Looks like the engines are pretty much the same in America except as always we get less choices in that dept. than Europeans do. That's to be expected though to hold the price down to what Americans think a smaller car should cost (a much smaller amount of dollars). Those Fiat designed Dart engines are at least all Michigan made at the Dundee MI engine plant I believe, correct me if I'm wrong there.

That depends on the selling price but given that they are only going to make 500 of them just like the Shelby Focus ST I'd say that you might be onto something. It would be funny if it came out with a price tag 10 or 15 grand larger that the Dart it's based on though. They would be sitting in showrooms and lots for a while I think.
