I chose JL audio and when I get my 13W3V3 subwoofer from them tm I will let you know how that sounds. Brands tend to formulate their subwoofers to sound better ported or sealed and JL audio is definitely better sealed which is another reason why I chose them.

true. However jl audio's shallow sub and alpines type r shallow sub are 200$ difference in price even more depending where you go. I wonder if the 200$ + difference is actually worth it?

Again with car audio, it is much depended no the music you listen to + how much your willing to put in....that said i am going purely on budget an quality for the amount i have.. which is say 450$ for the sub + box

DUDE order online....I spent 177 on a sub that retails for 340....man you could get a nice driver for that including box. Now if you are talking about the amp to power it and the wiring to hook everything up then its a little different. That's if you are shopping online though I personally only go to shops to test out stuff and get advice. If you want I would be down to help you find the best deals online

yeah? what site did you get it from?? coz 177 for alpine sub is EPIC...but thats in america? what about postage to Australia??

You see I don't know how much postage would play into price because everything I order is in the same state as me. I found a guy liquidating his merch from his retail store so I got it cheap. but yeah go on amazon or ebay forsure. I would google whatever you are trying to purchase and click "shopping" and it will find every place you can find it and how much.
